10 Ways to Earn Money for Kids! - Simple Yet Interesting Ideas!

Today we are here with an interesting topic, and we'll tell you 10 Ways to earn money in simple and easy ways as a kid! So let's start!

1. Start a Lemonade Stand: 

This idea most works in the summertime, when the weather is hot. People who are travelling or working in hot weather often become thirsty. So a Lemonade Stand is a great idea because such a stand, especially in summer can earn a lot of money. What you only require is jugs of water, premade lemonade powder packets (or ingredients or Lemonade like Lemon and sugar), plastic or paper cups, a Chair and a Small table. It is actually preferred to just take a small desk, decorate it with a banner and paint if you want, and set up the desk in a place where a lot of people come, like a footpath on a street, lawn or garden near your home, park or public places, etc. Just if you set up in a place which is far away, and you are a bit younger to stay alone, you can take a grown-up or adult with you to help you. If not Lemonade, you can set up a stand to sell other juices, and soft drinks like cola, juices and milkshakes. But if you want to give the best experience, try to serve whatever you are selling cold, like keeping cold water or ice cubes, in a container, box or mini refrigerator where it wouldn't get hot. But trust us, this idea is really profitable and you can earn a lot of money with this. 

2. Pet Sitting:

If you are confident in handling and taking care of pets and animals, you might be capable of doing this and earning money through this! While many people go for vacations or important purposes somewhere away from their homes, and can't take their pets with them, they hire various people and pay them to take care of their pets. This idea is great if you are capable of taking care of pets, giving them proper food and water, and making those pets happy. However, we prefer that you do this if you are capable of doing this, and you are old enough to stay at others' homes, and take care of their pets. So a suggestable age for doing this is above 11 years, however, if you are younger but are capable of staying alone at others' homes and taking care of their pets, then go ahead! Another idea like this is to take others' pets on walks and spend time with them. 

3. Give Tuitions: 

If you are old enough to give tuition for younger kids' grades, for example, if you are in Grade 6th or 7th, then you can give tuition to Grades 1st, 2nd or 3rd. So this actually depends on your capability. If you are good in studies, then you will be more confident in giving tuition to younger kids. You can either call students to your house, another place or go to their homes. Nowadays there is one more way to give tuition, and that is through Online Mediums. You can host online tuition sessions, which price might be slightly less than physically present tuition. Anyway, to give tuition, you might find the perfect and learning material like books of the students, or e-books which are available online. So gather the learning material which you can refer to, plan how often will you host the tuitions, how much will you charge for these sessions, and will you charge on the basis of per hour, per day, per week, or per month. And remember, all of these depend on how do you take these tuitions, online or offline (where students and you are physically present). 

4. Start a YouTube Channel:

This idea is a very popular idea nowadays. If you have an idea about making videos related to a certain topic, and you know that the content on which you'll make videos will be popular among people or such videos are already trending, then you can go for this! If you are below 10 years of age, then you might require your parents or another grown-up to help you start, set up and maintain your YouTube channel. You can make a YouTube channel of any of the categories, like: Music, Gaming, Review, Unboxing, Entertainment or Anything else. But for starting a YouTube Channel, you require a Google Account. So if you can either use your parent's Google Account or if you are old enough, go ahead and make your own! So this is also a great idea and once you receive 1,000 subscribers and a certain number of watch hours on your YouTube Channel, then your YouTube channel can be monetized and you can start earning money! 

5. Selling Crafts or Artwork:

Do you think that you are good at origami or crafts? You can make greeting cards, artificial jewellery and other such crafts like a pro? Then use this skill and start selling your crafts. Nowadays crafts are used a lot for decoration purposes, and in fact, people love artificial crafts and jewellery these days too! They love the vibrant colours of the crafts and decorate their homes, and study places, as well as buy them because they like them. So this may be a great idea of earning money as a kid! 

6. Open up a Cafe! 

So, you're a great young chef or something? Or, cooking is your hobby? Or you simply are good at it? So put that skill to use! Open up a small cafe in your neighbourhood, like in your garage or simply use your house kitchen, and make a menu. Add food items like Tea, Coffee, Sandwiches, burgers or anything you can cook. Share the menu with all your neighbours, and let them know that you actually are cooking and selling food items to anyone who orders. Then, let people come to your cafe or give you a call, and order what they want, and you can simply make their order and deliver it to them. Remember to make a bill as well and you may charge an extra delivery fee if you have to deliver somewhere even a little away from your house.

7. Car Wash: 

If you're not master at most skills, then you can try this one! Car washing is a simple way to earn money. It can sometimes be tiring, but it can be fun if you charge much for it! You would still require large amounts of soap, and water to use for washing people's cars. You can also charge extra if your customer's car is larger, and you can take the help of your friends, and pay them their share in working on washing a car. It can be tiring, but it still is a great idea to earn money as a kid. But you still would need things like sponges and water pipes for washing the cars. 

8. Host a Yard Sale: 

Do you have or own any old items you want to throw out or don't want to keep anymore? Or you simply don't need it anymore? Such things can be anything, an old TV, Paintings, Baskets, clothes, shoes, speakers, phones, or anything. Well, you can host a yard sale in your house yard or garden, and sell those items for second-hand purchase, at lower prices, depending on how much it was used before. The more it was used, the less its price will be, for any item. Such yard sales are actually a great idea to get rid of old or not needed items. However, make sure the price of items you are selling is neither a lot to buy it for second-hand, nor it is too less. 

9. Participate in Surveys:

A few online websites allow kids to participate in surveys. Surveys are basically feedback, opinion and general questionnaire in which people participate to make money, and the survey makers understand people's opinions and help companies and organisations to become better. This is a great opportunity for kids to earn money if they want to do so easily. Simply search for survey websites for kids, and you can start earning through participating in those questionnaires and surveys. 

10. Write and Publish a Book! 

Are you interested in writing stories? Do you have a great imagination? Well, then why don't you write a book? You can write a fictional storybook or any kind of book you like, and then publish it! Thanks to online mediums nowadays, that publishing a book has become so easy. Also, you can earn money and your commission when people buy your book. You can write a book on paper, as well as on a computer, digitally, on apps like Google Docs and MS Word. But remember to have a great idea for writing the book, and also use language and grammar correction apps like Grammarly, so you don't make writing or grammatical mistakes.
