Today we are going to learn about one of the coolest things on earth: The Oceans!  Did you know that the oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth's surface? That’s a lot of water! The ocean is so big that we’re still discovering new things about it all the time. Now let us learn more about them in detail! About the Oceans: Oceans are giant bodies of water that cover most of our planet. This water is mostly very salty and is salt water. They are home to millions of different creatures, from tiny fishes to huge whales. The oceans help to regulate the Earth's climate and provide us with food, transportation, and many other resources. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch - Inhumanity of Humans!

  Hello Kids! Once again welcome to KidsCast! As all of you know we humans produce tons and tons of garbage everyday and most of the cleaning authorities dump it in the land or throw it in the water bodies but do you all know that there is now an island formed in Pacific ocean which is completely made up of garbage! Doesn't it sound surprising! But today we will learn more about it. Exact location  Now you all would be thinking where is it actually!! Don't worry I will tell you now. It is located in the Central North Pacific ocean.  Approximately it is located from  135°W  to  155°W  and  35°N  to  42°N . Don't think that it is confusing. Here's a map which you can understand. Saving the Earth - Our Responsibily!

Hello Children! As today is Earth Day , hence we had written this Article. Children, did you know plastic was first made by accident in 1907 by a Belgian-American chemist Leo Baekeland? The same plastic that was a new discovery then is now ending up in natural environments like the oceans that disrupt many aquatic life forms. Plastic pollution was first noticed as a problem when scientists were carrying out the plankton study in the late 1960s and the early 1970s. During researching the Sargasso Sea marine biologist Ed Carpenter first found white specks floating around brown sargassum seaweed later they realized it was plastic. If we all start now by making rules to not use plastic and stop throwing waste into oceans it's a start to save the planet.      Global warming  Global warming I'm sure you’ve heard of, you should know just because we can see it in front of our faces doesn't mean it's not happening.
