These institutions are called Governments . But yes, back to different ways of being in charge, Governments are mainly of 3 types. The British Empire was a group of countries, territories, and colonies that were controlled by the United Kingdom. Area Control: The Mauryan Empire was enormous and very large. It almost had the whole Indian Subcontinent under its extent! As the empire was huge, it had large areas under its control.
