The Fact Story: Hohenzollern Castle - The Structure on the Top

 


Imagine that the Countryside you are just sitting, seeing the clouds, birds, and the sunny skies, and nearby a whole big fortress, waiting for someone to discover. Yes, this fortress is actually a Castle, and the name is Hohenzollern Castle. In the southern mainland of Germany, lies big ranges of country-sides where this castle is located. Plus, this castle is one of the three castles made in these sites. The ancestral seat related to these three castles is known as the Imperial House of Hohenzollern. These castles are together called the Hilltop Castles. Even now, this castle is privately owned by the House of Hohenzollern. 

We can find that the family of the prince still stays in this castle, and this can be known as the present day monarchy too, though there is no control on any territory in the mainland of Germany, except their own privately owned castle. Talking about the Architecture of this Castle, we see that this palace has a part very famous in terms of the field of architecture. The part of this castle is called as The Eagle Gate. Yes, the meaning of this part lies in its name itself. The Eagle Gate is a section of Military Construction where this is a kind of main gate for the Castle. The entrance of this Palace is from this gate only. Other architectural structures of this fortress has various types of Patterns and Designs. 

In the Premises of this Castle lies two facts. All the seven known burials of the late princes of this castle are buried in the cemetery of this place. And here we go with an interesting fact! This castle has been known for a film shooting site in Germany, where two movies named as A Cure for Wellness and the Television Version of The Worst Witch. Hence, though this castle is not well known, it is really popular among the people who known it, and about it.
