Disasters: Cyclone Titli - A Butterfly Name ; Dangerous Effect!
More Like a 2012 disaster film but for real, this cyclone made havoc in Bangladesh, Andhra Pradesh, And Odisha.. making it an unforgettable experience for the inhabitants of East India.
For Years And Years India has been devastated by many cyclones making both the west and east side coasts vulnerable to cyclones. But this storm was not a mere one... Cyclone Titli was the fifth named storm to form in the 2018 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, the storm developed from a low-pressure area that formed in the Andaman Sea on October 6... Cyclone title tore into the eastern coastal areas with a wind speed of at least 100/kph, Around 5000 electricity poles were uprooted leaving many without electricity. But The MeT reported that it had upgraded it a storm with speed of 150/kph. IT WAS A CATEGORY 5 Cyclone.
This Storm killed around 16 people, 8 in Andhra Pradesh But Not All Stories have a bad ending. In the second week of October 2018, the cyclonic storm “Titli” made landfall in the south-west coast of Gopalpur near Palasa in Andhra Pradesh. NDRF as part of proactive measures deployed 25 teams in the coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. The brave hearts of NDRF commenced nonstop rescue and evacuation work in the affected areas and left no stone unturned to bring normalcy.
A small change can result to a big one. The cyclone Titli had caused major destruction! Let's just hope that no other cyclone does this much destruction again!
